Packing Shed Crew Member

Part Time: 10hr/week

Seasonal: June-October, Friday 8am-6pm

We are looking for an individual to help us one day a week on Fridays with washing, bagging, boxing and packing out for our Community Supported Agriculture program and our weekend farmer's markets. Experience in the agricultural or food industry a plus but not required. Must be punctual, industrious, courteous and most of all have a good sense of humor.

Responsibilities: As a key member of the packing shed team your main task will be washing incoming vegetables, bagging, packing getting them sorted and loaded into the cooler while keeping them organized for their different destinations. This position requires someone who is a multi-tasker, attention to detail, follows directions well and can be on their feet for a 10 hr day. 

 

Requirements:

- Punctual

- Organized 

- Experience working with a team but also able to work independently and self motivate.

- Good at listening, handling complex instructions and confident to ask for clarification and follow up questions.

- Ability to kneel, bend, lift and carry 40lb crates of vegetables.

- Take pleasure in meaningful, tangible, sometimes repetitive work.

- Have your own transportation to and from the farm.

- The farm is a smoke-free, drug-free environment

Compensation:

$16.50/hr

CSA Share
