the farm

We are a USDA Certified Organic farm nestled on 26 acres in the hills of eastern Connecticut. Our farm was started as a chicken farm by Finnish immigrants back in the 1930's. With it's traditional 2 story chicken coop that was once a common sight all over eastern Connecticut, we are slowly transforming what were mainly pastures into productive vegetable fields. In fields that were once better at growing rocks than crops we have transformed the soils into a diverse living system teeming with microorganisms that help support healthy and nutritious vegetables. Growing a wide range of mixed vegetables we focus on growing tasty vegetables that pique your curiosity and stimulate your palate.
